Product Description Alice, the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts are on a whimsical fashion adventure in Wonderland. This fresh, modern take on the classic characters inspires unique accessories: Alice comes with a Cheshire cat; the Queen comes with a "flamingo" croquet mallet and "hedgehog" ball; and the Mad Hatter has a teapot, cups and saucers. Dolls cannot stand alone. Each sold separately. Alice measures 12" tall.

| Customer Reviews: Excellent collector's doll--great value. April 13, 2009 Alison Rasmussen (San Diego, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This collector Barbie doll is a great introductory doll for a beginning collector or a budding collection (or even a more advanced collection on a budget). At this price, you get a great doll, with an amazing sculpt, a detailed dress, and a doll you just can't believe is a Barbie. Plus, she's a re-made Alice, with a tiny bit a of a bad side. She's really fun.
I bought this doll for my 8 year-old daughter's collection, and she was just thrilled. The doll includes the Cheshire cat, which is a plastic figurine as well. But by far the best part of this doll is her intricate gown, which is layers of sparkling blue ruffles. It's really fun. She is sturdy enough to be played with also, if you're careful.
I did not have a problem removing the doll from the box. Her hair was a tad bit messy (as is common with Mattel and their over-protective packaging) when she was removed from her box, but that was easily remedied with a pet hair comb. And she looks as good as new, unlike the Birthstone dolls, which simply cannot be fixed once they are removed from their boxes.
I feel like I should edit my review a bit--this is a *re-imagined* Alice, not Alice as she was originally intended. So she is on an adult model muse body. We have actually since rebodied the doll (to a Fashion Royalty body, actually), so she is more posable. That being said--she is a collector item more than a play-toy. So keep that in mind if you're considering purchasing this doll for a younger collector.
Adults, only, please! February 10, 2009 The Taminator (The People's Republic of Indiana) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
The only reason I bought this doll is that I love the original Alice in Wonderland stories and it was on an incredible sale. I've been collecting for most of my life, and the more things change, the more they stay the same. Yoy must destroy the box to get the doll out; there is no way of preserving the packaging so that you can have a mint in box doll later on. The layers of the dress are absolutely gorgeous until you turn her around and realize that Mattel did not bother to finish the back of her hair, leaving mostly a ragged mess.
This particular version of Alice uses Mattel's "Model Muse" body, a thinner, much more mature-looking version of the Barbie body than ever before, if that's possible. They then compensate for this by using an oversized head with large eyes and a pouty look meant to resemble a little girl-- a little girl's head on a very adult body. The term my husband used when he saw this doll was Jailbait Alice, and I'm inclined to agree. She comes with a cheshire cat and a stand (which is a good thing, since the box will disintegrate and disappear as you remove the doll) and overall she looks OK in my mad tea party diorama. My problem comes in with Mattel taking this as well as Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, and making them look like they came out of letters to Penthouse magazine. Grimm's fairy tales can be updated to appeal to modern audiences without the absurd titillation forcing our kids to grow up just that much faster. Maybe if Mattel wasn't so preoccupied with decimating the Bratz line (which IMO is guilty of the same thing) they would realize that and start showing some real innovation.

She's is absolutely stunning! exactly as pictured. i do however have to stress that she is a full sized barbie doll with a slightly bigger head that an average barbie.
Wonderful Alice Doll April 10, 2008 redhead (Germantown, New York USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This doll is a beautiful portrayal of Alice. Unlike what the "Product Features" section states, Alice is a full size 11 1/2" Barbie doll. She was produced in 2007 and is a Silver Label doll (less than 50,000 produced worldwide). Mattel has captured the timeless, whimsical, topsy-turvy world wonderfully. Alice wears a flawless blue ruffled dress and blue high heeled shoes. What I like most about this collection of dolls is their accessories. Alice comes with sidekick, Cheshire Cat. Overall, a great collection piece and also a great doll for any child.
